MacMail - Problem with email

I have been running my email on MacMail for several years with the same ISP.

I have 3 email addresses with the same provider.

On 14th January non of the emails would login but subsequently 2 of them did and are now running ok.

I still cannot access email on the third one. It says "Cant connect to the account" and throws up the password box. When I enter the password I get "unable to verify account name or password"

I can access all three accounts on Android with no problem so it has to be an Apple issue.

Any ideas to resolve it please?

i had the same problem this week,
to remedy that, i delete the account then reset the same account in system pref-internet accounts.
this did not lose any information or email and let me extend a certificate.
My icloud mail was not effected, just the 2 other addresses.

your welcome, this only happens when i REALLY need to send a message about career stuff. like i did Saturday nite.
and that is a mac thing with non-mac emails.
