Suggest you disconnect the USB cable. Not required. Some people connect every lead in the box to everything.

A benefit is to release a USB port on the computer.

Always try to use an Ethernet cable over WI-FI if practical. More secure, faster speeds possible, easer to set up (just plug in) and no passwords required. All good things.

your jumping on something that we already know there is no USB Cable connected to infact the OP has stated he meant ethernet cable lol,

he isn't using wifi lol
