Sue, my wife uses TB. I'm not a fan, but I'll take another look at it. Thanks.

Mail was a superb product. Now it seems to be worse in iOS and macOS.

Why do they do that? Mail, Reminders, Updates. How many more things have they broken? In return we can make the display dark and unreadable - not a good exchange

Each to his own, but I haven't noticed any difference at all on either my Mac or iPhone. Must be the way I like to have it set up I suppose.

Just remembered, there is a difference on the Mac. When first launching it I have to double click the icon or it doesn't get displayed for some reason. Nothing else behaves like that.

I wouldn't say Mail was "broken" at this point. It works, it just works differently. Ditto for Reminders and Updates. My car from 2013 works differently than my car from 2018, but the '18 isn't "broken," just different.

I don't like the differences I complained about in Mail, but it's a bit of a reach to say it's "broken" IMHO.

But at least they still release bug fixes fairly regularly.

Surprisingly, Thunderbird still works well even though development on it stopped back in 2012. I believe that even the NNTP part of Thunderbird continues to work although I can't imagine that anyone nowadays would use NNTP to access forums. TapaTalk has pretty much replaced all the old NNTP apps.
