I am currently using Mojave. I would like to remove the folders on my desktop and have reviewed several you tube videos, but feel overwhelmed by the advanced skill set needed to do this.
Thank you in advance.

What folders are you talking about? Take a screenshot (CMD+SHIFT+4, then space) of your desktop and show us. Ideally you shouldn't have anything on your Desktop at all.

If you open a Finder window, in the sidebar click on Desktop. From there you can drag (and drop) the folders into your Documents folder, or the Downloads folder, or even the Trash if the folders are no longer needed.
