Bing taking over Google search

Hi Gang Ive checked older threads but no help, My Google search defaults to Bing every time on my iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), I have google as my search but it doesn't care! Any help much appreciated Bob

You didn't say what browser, but we'll go with Safari. Open Safari Preferences, Search and pick what you want. You didn't say what version of the OS you have on that system, but all of them should work about the same. If you have a different browser, set the search in that browser, wherever it is.

Get Malwarebytes from malwarebytes.com and install it, then run it to see if something has hijacked your browser. Don't pay for malwarebytes. It will install the "pay" version, then nag you for 30 days to pay and at the end of that time revert to the free version, which is all you need.

In Safari, click on Safari in the top menu bar and select "Quit Safari". Prior to clicking on the Safari icon in the Dock, press and hold "shift", then after you click the icon, release "shift".

Edit: Also try, Safari > Clear History...?

Thanks a lot Macinwin seems to have worked I did a scan then uninstalled Malwarebytes, Hope it stays on google from now on!

No need to uninstall Malwarebytes. After 30 days it turns into a free app and will continue to function, even allowing you to download new scan info. That's an app you should keep.
