g4 dvd drive no longer loads

my G4 os9 system worked fine for many years

I filled up the 40 gB drive and installed a larger one 100 dB

final cut will no longer boot up

I cannot re install FCP, as my dvd burner [ pioneer ] rejects all discs

from ~ yr 2000

it has NEVER been connected to the net

As member ferrarr mentioned...maybe it's time to purchase a new optical drive (internal or external).

Also could be a dirty drive (clean with some canned air)...and check the disk for dirt/damage issues.

Since it is an older model, maybe one of These cd/dvd drive lens cleaner discs would help?
