Question Hi there. I'm very happy with the replacement logic board, it is installed, the ssd
I have replaced a faulty logic board in a Macbook Air 6.2 (Mid 2014), after the replacement logic board was installed, the ssd has been erased, a clean version of mavericks was installed from internet recovery and then updated to majave, all without issue.
The problem is the keyboard and trackpad, unfortunately they don't work at all. I have been using a USB keyboard & mouse to get it setup. Strangely though, the keyboard startup key combinations do work, also, the keyboard and trackpad work when it is booted into startup manager (option key on boot). From startup manager, keystrokes can be used to enter the wifi password and the cursor behaves as normal, as soon as you move past startup manager into any of the other modes such as USB OSX boot disk, Internet recovery or the OS then they don't work. It is an freshly erased ssd with a clean install of OSX, I have tried resetting the pram and also resetting smc and I'm now out of ideas. Hopefully someone here will be able to help as I'd really like to get this resolved quickly as it is a priority repair for a client.

Can you boot into Safe Mode and see if the keyboard/trackpad works there?

They don't work in safe mode either, only in startup manager and nowhere else.

Did everything work in Mavericks before the upgrade to Mojave? The startup manager and recovery console are all running code that is different than the OS and very much bare bones.

The logic board that you installed, is it an exact replacement with the one you replaced? And have you checked for firmware updates? Sounds like you've inherited some incompatibility with that new logic board.

Please backup. Everything has a life cycle, unexpected and warning free. Nothing will last as long as you want it to.

Going back to the problem I had last week with my mouses, have you tried it with the USB keyboard and mouse disconnected?
