Well Chas, it looks as if we have gone about as far as we can go with the OS. Our iMac is late 2009 and the MBP 13 is mid 2010. No way will we be able to update for a good while yet, but quite happy with High Sierra at the moment.

It was quite different when the iMac was on El Cap and the MBP on High S. When I wanted to look at files on the other machine I had to sign in to it. It wouldn't automatically bring up the files. Now they are both on High S it shows the files on the other machine as soon as I select it in Finder. Makes it very easy.

You must be special. No update available for me...yet.

Me neither. Chas must be signed up for Apple's beta program.

Remember, if you have Mojave, the software update is available through System Preferences>Software Update and not the App Store.

As Jake has pointed out, the Mojave update is only available from System Preferences -> Software update. Also.... even if the dialog returns "Your software is up to date", hang on for a few more moments and the 10.14.2 update will appear warning you that you will have to restart your machine during the update process.

@usagora: I am not signed up for the beta program.

Yes, it appeared after a while. Strange why I didn't get a notification that it was available like I do for all my app updates...always have before (and yes, it's set to check under the Software Update Advanced Settings).

I too did not get a notification that an update was available even though I have that selected in Advanced Settings. Nor did I get a notification for the last update to Mojave (10.14.1). It appears that this is an Apple glitch that needs to be resolved.

You have to have patience Lisa. Just let the dialog remain open for awhile; maybe as long as three or four minutes. It will eventually telll you that an update is available.

I gave up on downloading mine for right now. Even though I'm on a 45-50 Mbps connection right now, the download was going at dial-up speed. Maybe it's an issue with Apple's server that it's connected with. I'll try again tomorrow. Not waiting 7+ hours for a download, lol!

    Maybe a restart?

Please backup. Everything has a life cycle, unexpected and warning free. Nothing will last as long as you want it to.

It finally showed up. But, WOW it is a BIG download 2.5GB? So I will wait until I am at work to update. At my house it would take at least over night.
