I recently got a 2012 Mac Pro and have Windows (boot camp) installed on a second partition. When I have the Mac hooked up to the TV via HDMI cable the audio comes through fine on the Windows side but I can't seem to get it working on the mac OS. When I go into Sound in the System Preferences the TV doesn't show up under output so i can't select it there. Does anyone have any idea how I can resolve this? It's pretty frustrating.

Hi Tincup.. - welcome to the forum! :) Please provide some more information on your 2012 MBPro: 1) Retina display or not; 2) HDMI adapter via a TB port; and 3) macOS installed? Appears that you've checked the appropriate sound preferences, but review this article for additional suggestions. Good luck. Dave
