With the introduction of Dynamic Desktop pictures in Mojave I wonder how long it's been since you changed or though about changing your desktop picture?
Are you the sort of person who has a 4 year old picture of the grandchildren or a favorite holiday snap or a Mac OSX desktop picture from El Capitan or do you look at the options on each upgrade and choose a current picture?
Post a screen shot of your desktop, here's mine;

My word, Sue, you have a busy Desktop:D:Mischievous:

I'm afraid my Desktop is always that which goes with the current OS - macOS High Sierra at the moment case. Boring, I know. (I said it before anyone else.......)

Sue has a 'baddesktophabit' to go along with her shoes. :)

I usually keep the default macOS background image, but recently I've been flipping between a number of Porsche 718 images as inspiration until I get my own. :)

I use an app called Earthdesk, Xeric Design, Ltd. | EarthDesk. Lots of different views, and works across multiple desktops. They also have the option to get data subscriptions for real time cloud coverage.

Here's an image of the System Preferences > Earthdesk Preferences.

Thanks Bob, now this is why I ask these questions. Being here in paradise (Bali) is all well and good but I'm a bit isolated when it comes to comparing notes with other Mac users. This forum performs a very important social function for me. Here there are very few computer enthusiasts, that is they just want to the device to work but have little or no interest beyond that. Nothing wrong with that of course but for me Mac computers have always had two aspects; the functional, task related and the fun/social aspect.
Like being a vintage car restorer or a ham radio operator I like to "shoot the breeze" about features, options, parts and modifications. This is the "fun" part and communicating and sharing this stuff with like minded people is important to me.
So, I would like to thank everybody for being such a valuable part of my social life over the years. Together we have shared many things over and above the day to day problem solving and I feel I know some of you better than the people I see here on a daily basis.

Not at all Ian, that's why I asked and yes Sue, I suppose you noticed there's nothing on my desktop. Vive la differance.

Well, I've been using a 'stock' image from macOS - love space pics, so the one below is on my laptops (believe also on my wife's iMac) - but in all honesty, I rarely see my 'Desktop' image, so just not that important for me. Dave :)

I used to have a custom home screen, but right now I'm using the stock Mojave desert scene that changes over the time of day. I find that change to be just enough to let me know how long I've been sitting here. That, and the hourly nag from my  watch to stand up :)

Rod, I couldn't agree with you more. The social side of these Forums is very important and has encouraged me to follow some of our Members on Facebook - your good self & family included. The temporary creation of a closed FB Group whilst awaiting what we thought was the demise of our Forums made that all the easier as more and more people revealed their "real" identities.

Good for you but this thread is about the picture on your desktop. PS didn’t like Stacks but then I don’t have any files permanently on my desktop.:)
