Does anyone have exact instructions for reloading this without access to original disks? Prior hard drive is corrupt.

That is an older model MBP. If you don't have the original discs for it, then you will need to start with Mac OS X Snow Leopard, https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard.

Or, if you happened to create a bootable USB drive, from a later version of Mac OS X/OS X/macOS, you could use that.

Or, if you have a Time Machine backup, from any version of Mac OS X after Lion (10.7.3), as TM is bootable, but it "may" require the Recovery partition. I've never tested that though.

Or, if you created a clone backup of your drive, you could use that to clone the clone to your new internal drive.

I have a .dmg file for Mac OS X Snow Leopard. How do I make a bootable USB drive to load it on the MacBook Pro.
