I have a late 2009 Mac Mini on which I run (unofficially) Sierra. Can I create a Bootcamp partition with Windows 7 (32-bit) or indeed any other Windows version please?

The traditional answer to your question would be no.

But as you’ve managed to run an OS on that Mac which officially is not permitted, or normally achievable, I don’t think a definitive response is possible.

The risk is yours and nobody can stop you having a go.

Understood but since I used a well-known and very easy workaround to get Sierra on to my Mac Mini, I wondered whether anyone on the forums had gone on to use Boot Camp successfully.

Point taken, Mike. No criticism implied.

I can’t help you and as it’s Thanksgiving Day in the US, it will probably be tomorrow before the bulk of our members see this post and are able to respond.

According to EveryMac.com your 2009 late Mac Mini can run either the 32 bit or 64 bit version of Windows 7. However, since the latest supported version of macOS for your Mini is El Capitan, and you have a work around version of Sierra installed, you may run into problems. You've nothing to lose but time and energy by trying though. But before you attempt anything, it would be a good idea to make a clone copy of your system with either Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper. Both have fully functional free trials available.
