Hi folks! I have a new Web page that I think that many Mac users will find helpful.

The page is designed to answer several questions that come up all the time, including whether to upgrade to the latest version of the Mac OS when it first comes out, what does it matter if one doesn't upgrade, etc. and it gives tips on doing such an upgrade, including info on backing up and doing a clean install.

The page is free and totally non-commerical:

Upgrading To The Very Latest Macintosh Operating System

Please let me know what you think of the page!

This page, in case you don’t know, is one of several pages I have that attempt to help Macintosh users with questions and problems that come up often:

Macintosh Routine Maintenance
OS X Maintenance And Troubleshooting

Macintosh Slowdown Solutions

Macintosh Beachballs!

When a new MacOS upgrade comes out, I do the upgrade route. Then after 1-2 months, I will go and do a clean install. I am about to do that with Mojave this weekend or next.

I'll add my "well done" to the chorus above. Definitely a page that everyone should bookmark. We get numerous questions about upgrading one's version of macOS. Nice to have all the "Apples" in one place to provide answers. :)

Yes, instead of writing a long answer each time I see those questions, I can now just refer folks to the Web site. That's actually how each of my Web sites came into being: I just aggregated, updated and expanded the answers I gave in the past. No need to re-invent the wheel each time.

Apple should actually have their own version of these pages on their own Web site. But Apple tends not to like to admit that their products are computers that require attention from time to time. They want us to think of them as simple fun appliances.
