I am still getting requests to install Mojave
csrutil disable
csrutil enable
I did as you suggested but the Terminal came up with {bash-3.2#. Couldn't delete that but entered csrutil disable after it and got "command not found"
No, you won't be able to download Mojave, as Mojave only works with 2012 or newer Macs.Do I have to download Mojave just to get rid of the stupid nagging as I had to do on my 2011 iMac for an earlier version???

You can turn off Notifications, if you don't want them
What OS version are you using? Is there a reason you don't list your Mac in the sidebar? And that is just one of the problems — there is no f^%$#'n way to disable any notification, banner, or pop-up notice etc. that works that I have found so far.
