I have two 3TB hard Drives out of the WD Caviar GreenPower External My Book Studio. And I wanted to use them with a USB 3.0 to SATA External Hard Drive Lay-Flat Docking Station. My MacBook Pro didn't show the icon of the drive so I ran the Disk Utility. It showed something like the photos below. And I found the stickers attached on the drives saying "Use WD GreenPower drives only". These means it can't be compatible to with any regular hard drive enclosures?

The stickers only “recommend” which drives to use.

What specifically, are you trying to do?

Just asking - the two drives are/were setup to be a single RAID drive, right? Try erasing them one installed at a time.

Yes, but why did you take them out of the enclosure?

I was wondering the same thing. But I think he wants to use them separately in a dock rather than the RAID setup they were formerly used as. I don't see any reason why he can't do that as long as the dock accepts the drives. I'm not exactly in favor of WD Green drives as they are slow, but if that's what the OP wants....

I feel the same way, but in a raid enclosure, they're fine for backups. I'm assuming the enclosure died.
