Guilty as charged. Professor Hubert Farnsworth at your service.

Gheese, if we're really unlucky, we might get Charley's US bomber avatar doing repeated barrel rolls and Jake's aircraft carrier doing high speed power turn maneuvers in the future!!! God forbid. :[

I would have thought we'd see Rod with an animated striking snake from "Down Under" type avatar.

Hey, Patrick, my avatar is a tiny section of a picture I took that has my pilot in it when we were over the ship. Here's the full picture:

Nice shot Jake, and I don't dare ask what angle or attitude your plane was in when you took it. :D

But I sure admire any pilot that can take off and especially land on such a "small postage stamp" sized runway or whatever it is called, especially when flying jets. And maybe helicopters not included.

PS: Were you also a pilot??

And still very much alive with semi-mysterious activity even today in those waters, and skies. :Smirk:

No, I was a Bombardier/Navigator, or B/N, in the A-6 Intruder. The man in the picture is my pilot, callsign "Piglet." Long story there. Anyway, I have 650 landings on carriers, 350 at night. Not a record, by a long stretch, but enough of them that some were more "interesting" than others. As for the picture, I would say it's about 1000 to 1500 feet altitude, maybe 45-60 degree bank. He rolled it up so I could take the picture.
