I came across this article, published today, which I thought might be helpful to those who are running macOS Sierra and wished they had downloaded macOS High Sierra (HS) before macOS Mojave was released.

As most of us know, when a new OS is released, previous versions are usually unavailable for download unless previously "purchased" - and as we also know, not always even then.

I must make clear that what is being described here is the ability to download HS on to a Mac running Mojave - NOT to be used on that Mac as a Downgrade, but the HS Installer can be copied on to a storage device of choice and used to install HS on another Mac.

So this is really for those who wish to upgrade to HS but have missed their chance to do so.

How to Download MacOS High Sierra from MacOS Mojave

I hope this may be helpful to the few who find themselves in the situation mentioned above.

Thanks. I was able to get it downloaded ( I already had it) but it still doesn't show on the Purchased page for my Apple macOS App Store account (macOS Sierra also).

As a matter of fact, I no longer have any version of Mac OS X/OS X/macOS available in my Purchased page. Anybody else?

I have every version of OS X from El Cap to Lion in my Purchased section but no macOS Sierra or High Sierra.

I should have Mavericks and El Capitan, for this Apple ID, but with my original Apple ID, I should have them all from Lion through El Capitan, which I'll check later today.

Ashwin,

Thanks for the Edit. I did have some problems. And for removing the additional post. Much obliged.

On chscag’s advice I always back up to Carbon Copy Cloner before upgrading to a new Mac OS. So far I haven’t had to revert to a previous OS but did have some problems initially with upgrade to High Sierra. I will wait on installing Mojave. There always seem to be glitches each times new OS comes along.
