Welcome to our forums.

Please explain further. What Chromium are you referring to?

Chromium web browser that just installed when i installed uTorrent. It just pops up at will--super annoying! It looks to be a "virus" or "adware" from online pages...

So far, I have deleted folders from Applications, and ~Library/ folders which finally seemed to get Chromium icon off Launchpad. Hopefully, I got it off. Just want it off my mac! Anyway, I just installed bitdefender and malwarebytes...bitdefender said i was clean. However, malwarebytes quarantined 1 item and found 2 threats...so far.

Thank you for your help!

Okay, now we have a better understanding of what you're trying to do. Installing anything downloaded from uTorrent is risky because it may be contaminated with malware. Your Mac is protected against most malware but there are some that can sneak through. You do not need Bitdefender since there are no viruses in the wild that can infect your Mac. However, Malwarebytes is good to have and is recommended by us.

If you have any other problems with the Chromium browser launching, let us know. There are other places where items can be launched from that are hard to find. Spotlight is utterly useless in trying find anything which is why we recommend apps such as "Find Any File" or "EasyFind".

AppCleaner is a great little utility which will remove all associated files when an application or utility is trashed. Ands it is free!

I’ve had Chromium install on my kids winOS computers after they installed something. The only true way to be rid of it completely, is to wipe the drive and reinstall the OS.

Not really, no need for such a drastic measure, as chscag already mentioned, "Find Any File.app" can easily seek and destroy ALL bits and pieces just seeking some key words: like app name or parts and developer name etc.

And even AppCleaner.app as already mentioned can do quite a complete job. Sure enough so nothing left behind will even run.
