Hi guys - Ive noticed that with the mojave update my battery on sleep over night drains by 20% which was not the case earlier (2%).

Are you aware of any causes?

That's completely unacceptable.

The battery has 250 cycles in, in good condition, no power nap.

Any advice so I can comfortably just close my laptop and not worry about battery life

Tell us which portable Mac you have? Model? Year? Size?

What have you tried?

NVRAM reset, https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063?

Hi there :

It's a macbook retina 13, Early 2015.

Apparently the Terminal line : sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 25

Completely solves the problem as it forces the mac to enter a consistent hibernation. Battery drain is negligible.

Also the machine takes 2-3 seconds to start up which is not an issue for me.

But that is a workaround I guess. It should be set to 3 and that smart sleep in a way.
