I have Late 2012 iMac with Sierra 10.12.6, Safari 12.0, Memory of 8GB ( 2 more empty slots ). Plenty of storage 895 out of 999.35
Want to ask if its ok to get High Sierra installed on my Apple HD WDC ( not SSD ).

Also can I upgrade memory to 16 GB by adding 2 more 4 's

Thank You

Well, Mojave has been released today, so if you do not already have High Sierra downloaded to your Mac, you may not be able to get it. Or, if you made a High Sierra bootable USB installer, then you can install it that way.

Also, yes, you can add more memory to your iMac.

I would save it Ron in case you would need to reinstall it in the future. As Bob has stated, High Sierra may be pulled from the App Store, we just don't know yet.

BTW, it looks like Apple has already pulled both Sierra and High Sierra from the new Mac App Store.

It doesn't appear anymore when you type Sierra in the App Store's search bar, but if you Google "get Mac OS Sierra", one of the first answers you'll get will be an Apple Support page titled "How to upgrade to macOS Sierra". A link on stage 4 of that page will redirect you to the otherwise seemingly unattainable App Store page, on which you can still download Sierra. For now, at least...

Same goes for High Sierra by the way. Just looked it up after finishing downloading Sierra, and you just have to Google it and go through the related Apple Support page that comes up, which will lead you to the proper App Store page.
