I always come to Mac Forums as a last resort. I'm an old lady that came up on Windows. Although I love my Mac, there are places where I still get stuck.
Today, I downloaded some .flac files, and I guess you know I need to convert them to .alac files. After looking around, it seems that the XLD might be the way to go, but I have no idea what a "cue sheet" is. Can anyone tell me if I'm worried about nothing, or is there a great (free) converter out there with a simple interface for simple people like me?
Thanking you in advance; you guys have always been so helpful. :D

Good morning, Cuka.

Ladies never get old. They mature with dignity.

There are numerous apps that will do the job you’re after, but I can recommend XLD which I’ve used for years. It has the advantage of being very easy to use.

A simple Google search will bring up thr free ones, but I don’t recall XLD being particularly expensive.
A cue sheet, or cue file, is a metadata file which describes how the tracks of a CD or DVD are laid out.

I don’t think you need to concern yourself unduly with the technicalities. XLD and the like do all the work for you.

Why come to us as a last resort? Come here first. Always glad to help.

Ian
