Hi Ron:

I agree with member "MightyGem". Whenever I add a new bookmark to one of my bookmark folders it shows up at the bottom. I usually wind up moving it later on. However, Safari now offers a way to "sort" bookmarks and will do it alphabetically if you wish. That's how I arrange all my bookmarks.

I use an app called "SafariSort.app". I can't recall if it's free or otherwise; but it sorts all your bookmarks, including favourites, in multifarious ways. The simplest is alphabetically. And you can choose Folders First or all alphabetically.

It will certainly do what you want.

EDIT: Just researched this. It is free and comes from the developer here: http://www.safarisort.com

Actually, there is no need for a third party app to sort bookmarks in Safari. The last several versions of Safari have that option built in. However, it may not be apparent or easy to find since you must first select to show the bookmarks in the side bar. Once the bookmark folders are showing in the side bar, just right click on any folder and the "sort by" will appear. It only gives two choices: Alphabetically, or Address.
