Okay so I have been using my MacBook Pro Late 2016, 2.6GHz (AMD Radeon 450) for more than a year to play CS:GO. But for the past 4 days I have been experiencing an effect similar to thermal throttling.

After lets say 1-2 minutes of gaming on normal settings (always used them) it starts to drop frames.
from 100ish down to 40ish. Then continues to fluctuate and is unplayable.

Things I have tried:
Reinstalling the game fresh.
Clearing NVRAM.
Clearing all the cache i could find.

Thankful for all suggestions

Is this an online game, or stand alone version? Could it be internet related? Do you use a laptop cooling pad? What else is the MBP doing? What is connected to the MBP; monitor? keyboard? mouse? external drives? Is the laptop plugged in? Have you tried an SMC reset?

It is an online game.
I suspected it to be thermal throttling due to a ventilation problem but I have just gotten my mac cleaned about 2 months ago.
I do now use a cooling pad.
It does nothing else when I am game.
It isnt connected to any monitors, drives. It is however connected to a gaming mouse.
Yes it is charging the entire time.
About the SMC reset, no I havent, will try it right now.
