I want to send my pages documents via email to my Epson wf 3750 printer and I need to change the file to JPEG/TIFF/BMP/GIF/PNG.

Is this doable in Pages?

Not doable in Pages as far as I know. The files you mention are graphic files whereas Pages file formats are a word processor type which may also include graphics.

No, only the listed types, but having said that thanks for the headsup for me to see that I can do PDFs.

Sorry, I guess I'm just dumb, but that just doesn't make sense to me as to what you're trying to do.

What are the document files and what are you using to print them???

Hi pm-r,
I am trying to send my wife's print jobs through the internet via email via Epson's 'Epson Connect'. I'm going through whatever setups will work. I have tried using TP-Link to send it through the router, but the program is so buggy that we gave up on that. Problem is that when my computer is off she has to turn it on, sign in and then turn it off afterwards. Not a big deal but nonetheless not as convenient as it could be.

Don't know how big your documents are but you can Export from a PDF to JPEG in Preview. You have to export each individual page though, so you end up with a jpeg for each page.

Why do the print documents need to be those types listed, that makes absolutely no sense? I couldn't find that Epson printer model # anywhere? Basically, I don't understand, why a printer can't print any document sent to it?

OK flyboyy, let me see if I understand what it is you're trying to do, and please feel free to correct me:

• I gather your wife is away somewhere and not at home.
• I gather she wants whatever files she has printed out to the Epson wf 3750 printer while she's remote.
• I gather the Epson Connect software and setup is not working for you.

Is this about right.

It seems that should be possible from what Epson says:
https://www.epsonconnect.com

PS: If your Mac is sleeping and is needed to print, it should wakeup with the "wake for network access" (Energy Saver Prefs) enabled.

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with Epson's printers or software but I understand they have a setup app to get things configured and maybe some other stuff.

https://www.epson.eu/en/viewcon/corporatesite/cms/index/10598/

I haven't checked their Canadian support site but maybe they have something useful there.

And I'm sure you've read through their file???
Epson Connect Guide
https://files.support.epson.com/pdf/art1430/art1430ecg.pdf

I'm also wondering what router you are using and if it's even compatible or been setup correctly. But I gather it is as parts seem to be working.

Speak to you later I'm sure, and I'm also wondering why your Mac needs to be running to print her stuff.

PPS: It looks like the last snow has all melted from your area, at least at sea level areas.

I agree completely Bob.
And it sounds like you may have to change your browser search engine choice. ;D

If I understand the printing problem, the wife want's to do so from remote locations I gather, but I don't understand why the OP's Mac needs to be turned On to do so, as that doesn't need to be so from what I read about the Epson's Epson Connect Guide and some of their other web pages using "Epson Connect".

And maybe not Bob as that Epson model may only be a Canadian release and my browsers won't let me connect to epson.com and instantly goes to epson.ca, and I can't stop it changing. So maybe the search engines don't get there either. :Blushing:

PS: I was just joking anyway.

OK I discovered my mistake.

First off here is the web addy for EC https://www.epsonconnect.com/

I reread the email info and realized that I had erred because I read it too quickly and it was "Oh Dark 30" when I read it so I missed the first part of the sentence. So here is the full version " Word (doc, docx), Excel (xls, xlsx), PowerPoint (ppt, pptx), PDF, JPEG, GIF, BMP, PNG, TIFF"

So it looks like it is easy peasy.
Then I noticed from pm-r's post the remote print option which is the best option and it works like a charm. Thanks everyone for the help.

PS
Here is the printer https://epson.ca/For-Work/Printers/...ank-All-in-One-Supertank-Printer/p/C11CG20201 Got it @ Costco Canada.

My Mac needed to be on so she can go through mine to the printer. I assume that it is using mine as the master and is sharing with hers. I always turn off my iMac when not using it.

Ok, now that that part is sorted out, that printer supports wireless printing using WiFi. So, read the manual and set that up and then your wife can print to it without your system being on.

+1. As Jake says, your Mac shouldn't need to be on or running.

And maybe don't follow Apple's suggested method as it often doesn't work with many recent printers it seems.

And I guess you did notice in the Epson Connect Guide they mention the driver she might need for remote printing: (Directions and links provided at the URL you posted)
Remote Print Driver
Print beyond your home or office network using your laptop or desktop. Print from any application to a compatible Epson printer anywhere. It's as easy as File > Print.

Thanks MacInWin,
Unfortunately WIFI gives me an incredible headache and makes me sleepy. So our house is WIFI free. I put a metal screen top hat and grounding wire on our Smart Meter also. An electrical engineer buddy told me that he measured the difference in output of the SM with the top hat installed and it's about 75% less.

Thanks pm-r,
Yes, I got the driver and it works like a charm.

Sorry to hear about your reaction, but I doubt you are "free" of WiFi, given that your neighbors may have WiFi on. But maybe you lie ar enough out in the wilds of BC that you don't have nearby neighbors.

Hmmm…??? That's pretty doubtful considering that the Courtenay Airpark and the Comox Valley Airport and the Canadian Air Force base and all the planes with all their high powered electronics are so close by.

So you better get a good fitting metal foil hat or body suit to wear at all times. ;D

I am actually 11K from the RADAR and RADAR doesn't make it through the trees and it is very directional and pointed up because ground clutter is annoying to ATC. RF from anything diminishes very quickly with distance, especially aircraft which typically are not very high wattage. Initially with GPS for instance there was a lot of concern because someone with a cigarette package size transmitter could knock it out at an airport.

It is impossible to avoid it completely, but there times that it is obvious like TV stores and small condos/apartments. Unfortunately there are probably a lot of PPL who are strongly affected but are just not aware of it.

Epidemiologist Sam Milham http://www.sammilham.com/bio.shtm has found cancer clusters around cell towers.

In this post I went into more details http://www.mac-forums.com/macos-app...rinter-controller.html?highlight=#post1771669
