A warm welcome to Mac-Forums.

You have looked in the right place.

However, you can go to where the backups are stored and look there.

To do this, start from a clear Desktop with Finder showing Top Menu Bar.

With the Option key held down, click on "Go". In the list that opens, just under "Home", you will see "Library". Click on this.

Now click on "Applications Support" and from there, click on "MobileSync" and then "Backup".

All your backups should be shown there.

Please post back.

If you launch iTunes you can see all available backups. Open the iTunes preferences and select the Devices tab. From there you can see;ect a backup and delete it if need be.

If you need to restore from a backup connect the phone and launch iTunes. Click the phone/iPad icon just to the right of the volume slider (not the icon in the sidebar) The iTunes window will now show the date of the latest backup along with several options including backup and restore.

Unless you manually archive a backup (i.e. mark it as protected) iTunes will only keep the latest backup for a device. That's why you can't find your old backup I'm afraid.

System Restore (I assume you're referring to the Windows tool - only works with system files not user data).

However, on the Mac you'll only have a backup if you've been using Time Machine or some other backup service or tool.
