Your battery had an initial capacity of 4940 mAh, still has that charge remaining and is fully charged. Hence, it is NOT charging at the time of the screenshot. Over tim, the Charge Remaining number may decline as the battery ages. But you can ignore all of that. The most significant number in that image is the Cycle Count at 71. That is a count of how many times the battery has been "cycled," that is, allowed to discharge significantly and then recharged. That number is the key to battery life overall. Lithium Ion batteries do not respond well when they are consistently fully discharged, but work better if they are kept in the 60-80% range as a minimum. In fact, the fewer times you use battery the longer the battery will hold that maximum charge level. But be advised that ALL Lithium Ion batteries start to decay two years after manufacture, even if babied and used gently. The decline is small, but it's there.
As a newbie, the best advice is to use the machine as you need to. If you have a requirement to use the battery, use it. The number of cycles is on the order of a 1000 or so, which if you discharge to 0 daily is about three years. If, however, you don't have a true need for that portability, keep it on mains whenever you can to avoid another cycle being used when you don't need to.
And just enjoy it. Unlike other personal computers, the Macs don't need a ton of care and feeding to work well, so just enjoy the machine as you need to use it and don't sweat the technical stuff so much.
