Exclamation How do I turn off the Low Battery Notification in OS Sierra?
I run my battery low habitually. Suddenly, in OS Sierra, I'm getting a Low Battery Notification when my MacBook Pro battery hits 5%. I get this notification at least once a day, and it's driving me crazy. No amount of turning off all other notifications and activating 24-hour Do Not Disturb functions prevents it.

How do I turn off the Low Battery Notification? Or, if it can't be turned off, is there a way to change it from warning me when the battery hits 5% to, say, 1%? I rarely get down to 1%, so that wouldn't be so obnoxious.

Well, that is not good for the battery, if you get it every day. The proper way to turn off the Notification is to plug the charger in and let the battery charge.

Please backup. Everything has a life cycle, unexpected and warning free. Nothing will last as long as you want it to.

That's not an answer. Thank you for your time, though.

Bob gave you the right answer.
And me thinks you have an attitude problem dude.

People here are very helpful but your response is not going to get you very far.

    Cheers ... McBie

It is an answer. However, to address your original question.... open System Preferences, Notifications, and select the "Do Not Disturb" option. Not sure if that will turn off the low battery warning as that might be system generated. If it is system generated, then it can't be turned off. But give it a try anyway and let us know if it works for you.

Then the OP may want to do some google questions as to why Apple suggests the 5% low battery warning is used and maybe help prolong their battery's life. And then maybe make some changes or adjustments.

OK, let's stop this chastising of the OP. His question has been answered, he even said "thank you". No need to carry on about this.
