Hi, I`m running a Macbook Air, OS X 10.9.5, and 9.1.1 Safari .
The problem is that when i make any search , at first time the pages display correctly, but 10 seconds after it is redirected to the same pages but ended /google.ru and then say the page is not available. Or my search is redirected to another unwanted page.

This problem appears 5 times from 10.

It seems to be a virus , what can i do?

please help

Do as suggested. There are no Mac OS X viruses. Do not download anything from CNET or Softonic. Most of these problems come from dodgey sites where they include these 'gifts' free of charge!

And I'm afraid the dodgy sites now also include Macupdate.

Thanks, i do it, but problem still the same.

You might want to try these instructions first:

  • Click on "Safari" from the menu bar along the top of the screen.
  • Select "Preferences..."
  • Select the "Privacy" tab along the top of the new window.
  • Click the "Remove All Website Data..." button.
  • Click the "Remove Now" button when prompted.
  • Restart your browser.

Once you have done that, open up Disk Utility, which sits in the Utility Folder in Applications, click on the First Aid Tab, then select the Mackintosh HD in the left colum and then click repair permissions.Once it's finished what it's meant to do and restart your Mac.
Now open Safai and see what happens. If it still persists, come back and we can try something else.

Repeat the process, then install Ghostery or Privacy Badger or Adblock+ to blockit. (I use Ghostery, have it block EVERYTHING.)
