Just switched from 7.1.5 to 8.1.2 iPhoto and I guess I made a name for the slideshow at some point but had no idea that
name would be plastered all over the first slide of the show, butt ugly too.

How can I delete the title from appearing on the first image in the slideshow?

Tks!

Try this. Click on the Slideshow icon in the Sidebar to open it(but not run it). Choose the first slide from the show and double click on the title. If it works the same as in Photos, you can then delete the text.

Yesterday I double clicked on just the title (before posting my Q) and then "Delete"d it, thinking I'd delete only the annoying title.
But the entire image would disappear from the slideshow and the former second image in the slideshow would become the first image
and the title would then appear across that image.

But following your advice--today--and doing what I thought was the same thing that proved fruitless yesterday, actually worked today.
Just double clicking on the text eliminated it without having to do anything else!

Can you tell me one other thing if possible, since you're using "Photos" and a much more recent version slideshow software, can I export
a slideshow created in "Photos" at a higher resolution than I can now with iPhoto 8.1.2? Best I can do here seems to be 1280x800,
I created the show's images at 1920x1280 and wanted to be able to export it at that resolution so others could project it with quality.

Thank you so much for responding.

You can export at either HD, 1280x720 or full HD, 1980x1080.
