SSD and Trim enabler

Correct me if I'm wrong bu there is none for Tiger and leopard.

Best bet might be to find an SSD with and internal processor to manage Trim

Correct. Snow Leopard OS X.6 was the first Mike.

Suggest looking at OWC for starters and their range for PowerPC computers. OWC run their own 'Gargabe Dispoal' within the SSD. Go to this page and select G5 model and see which suits. SSDs come in 2.5" which require a dock to fit the 3.5" drive racks, or there are a number of 3.5" SSDs, maximum I think is 120GB also at OWC. Just enter 3.5" SSD in th search box:-

Look also at Crucial SSD's. "Crucial SSDs have a maintenance feature called Active Garbage Collection built into the controller. Active Garbage Collection is triggered when the SSD has power but no data throughput, and does background cleanup on the SSDs."
