Hello everyone!!!! Long time!! I hope you all are doing very well, happy and healthy!!!

Anyone know how to (or if it's possible) to move a call FROM the iPhone TO the Mac.

I can ver easily do it in reverse, but would love to take a call on the iPhone, then transfer it it to my MBP.

Possible?

Thanks in advance!!

Hey, don't stay away too long next time.... ;)

I looked around trying to get an answer to your question and came across this discussion from the Apple forums. It appears according to what they discussed, it can't be done. I personally think there has to be a way since you can do the reverse. I'll dig around some more to see what I can come up with.

Now I've not used our Macs to take phone calls but now reading David Pogue's 'missing manual' on Yosemite and am on exactly that chapter - below are listed his comments:

- Mac needs to be running Yosemite & the iPhone iOS 8.1 or later.
- Mac & phone need to be signed into the same iCloud account.
- Bluetooth must also be on for some of these features.

With this setup, he states that when a call comes in, the Mac plays whatever ringtone phone is playing; a notice appears on your Mac's screen which you accept - can be used in the other direction.

Now wife has a new iPhone 6 & both of our Macs are on Yosemite, so may give it a try - she uses the iMac and probably would like the option. Let us know if it works - Dave :)

I use the phone feature of Yosemite all the time and it works beautifully ... and makes a huge difference in my life!

But the question, or at least the way I interpreted it, was that the OP wanted to know how to TRANSFER an already-answered call from iPhone over to iMac? I don't think this is possible.

:) Good to see you!

Thanks! yeah, It doesn't appear that it is possible to go from Mac to iPhone unfortunately.

Maybe someone will find a work-around/fix.

Hey Chas_M!

I agree, I LOVE the feature.

You are understanding my question perfectly. I'd like to be on a call on iPhone, then move the call to the Macbook, which doesn't currently seem possible. :(
