Hi there,
On a PowerBook G4 Ti VDI
Processor Type: PowerPC G4 (3.2)
Processor Speed‹‹: 1 GHz
Memory: 1 GB
Version of the Boot ROM: 4.5.3f2
System Version: Mac OS X 10.4.11

There is Google Software Update encrusted.
That thing, I have not asked for. It settled himself in the login items and it refuses to be eliminated.
How to remove the intruder from the login items ?

I saw a Google Uninstall Software and needs Mac OS X 10.5. So here is not working.

Now, I have a folder GoogleSoftwareUpdate locked in Me / Library / Google & another locked in Computer / Library / Google

Look in your user folder/Library/LaunchAgents. Delete Google Update there.
Look in Hard drive/Library/LaunchAgents (different place). Delete it there (will need admin password)
Delete it from Login Items, if there.
If you don't want this, stop downloading stuff from Google.

Thanks all,

Get Info on the locked items and uncheck the locked check box.

I did it already, when unlocked folders that are empty, Google Software Update in startup items list remains always (the "delete" key or the "-" boutton doesn't affect it), even after computer's restart.

Look in your user folder/Library/LaunchAgents. Delete Google Update there.
Look in Hard drive/Library/LaunchAgents (different place). Delete it there (will need admin password)
Delete it from Login Items, if there.

All LaunchAgents folders are empty. A Computer / Library /LaunchDaemons folder is empty.

What else can I do ?

Try ~/Library/Application Support, see if there is a Google folder.
If there is, be careful what you delete, you might need some of that if you use Google products.

Yes, Cradom, "Google Earth" folder is there. Inside are :
cached_default_view.kml
myplaces.backup.kml
myplaces.kml
myplaces.kml.tmp

You need that, assuming you use Google Earth.
I purged all that Google update stuff a while back and don't remember all the places it hides.
It can be very difficult to get rid of.
