Hello, I just got a new iMac, my old one was a 2010 model, and I was wondering how to get things like safari and the app store to have enlarged windows right away and for safari to open where I last was when I close and open it again. I set my old one up 3 years ago, so I forget what I did to do that, but I've been looking around and can't find out how to make the screens enlarged when I open them, I have to click the arrows at the top right every time I open them. So does anyone know how to do this? Sorry if this is the wrong category, and thank you.

Arrows at the top right? The green button at the top left will enlarge the window to it's maximum beneficial size. That is, if the content will be displayed optimally without going to "full screen" that's what it does. I think many apps will open a window of the same size as the last session. If not, I don't know of a way to train it to do something other than its default behavior.

In Safari, go to Preferences (Safari menu) and for Safari opens with: choose All windows from last session
