Need to get Hp Officejet 4500 Wireless to work on 10.9

Hello everyone, I been trying the last few hours to get my Officejet 4500 to work on OS 10.9. I really need to get it working. Added the printer via Printer and scanners and it it said software isn't available and it selected the generic driver. It won't print anything.So I really need help.

Did you go to the HP site and check to see if OS X 10.9.X drivers and software are available for your Office Jet printer?
