Mail - I've given up on trying to figure out why Mail doesn't want to quit on occasion - it's been doing the same thing since at least 10.4.

Almost always have to force quit Safari if it's been running for a few days.
Might not be as bad if I quit it once a day instead of using Free Memory.
This has been a new wrinkle for me with 10.8.

Update...

I ran some features with Onyx, but no joy. It still takes about 60 seconds to shut down. I will try to close mail first, then shut it off....then the same with Safari. (Those are the proggies I use 95% of the time).

All was well before MtLion came along...I still think it may be in there, somewhere. I'll just live with it. It runs everything else really well overall.

Cheers!
