I have an iMac with a 2.66 GHz IntelCore 2 Duo processor and I'm using Mac OS X Lion10.7.5 software. I have three user accounts on the computer and the administrator user is the only one with the problem of a sound bit from a news video from MSN.com repeating itself.

I also get a Community toolbox message pop up every time I open Safari. Does anyone have any suggestions for these two problems?

Try this:

Open a new finder window.
Click on Applications
Open the Toolbars folder
Open the Vuze folder
Double click on Uninstall

Tom, does the Vuse toolbar do that? Interesting as I have never used that toolbar even when using Vuze for the few torrents I work with. I never install toolbars. they drive me crazy!

Depends on which version of Vuze you've downloaded I think.

I've installed it and uninstalled a few times over the past few years - pretty rare I need to torrent anything - everytime they're putting some new junk with it. The CTLoader was one such. I just installed it about 2 weeks ago and it changed the default home page in every browser - along with installing 4-5 pieces of junk extensions - that took me half an hour to go back and fix my browsers and delete all the junk it installed.

There's another way to remove the CTLoader - I think it was in Library/Application Support

I have one simple rule I follow when installing applications. If its a Toolbar I don't install it.

That is a "very" good rule. Omg, they can be such a pitb. Only some apps don't tell you what they're installing behind the scenes - like Vuze, they just do it without your knowledge.

This should be a general rule for every computer user and should be repeated again..
I think it's very seldom we think to tell someone else not to do it, until after they've done it and are asking why their browser doesn't work properly.

I went through this a couple of times in the last few months helping folks resurrect XP boxes that were virtually unusable. I think one had three or four of these toolbars and limited ram. Wasn't aware this was becoming an issue on the Mac. Don't think I've ever set up torrent software though/

If your web browser looks like this, you failed at computers.
