I created a folder and now I cannot delete it. When I get info is says I can only read and I always create folders that I can read and write to. How can I get rid of it?

The operation can’t be completed because some items had to be skipped. For each item, choose File > Get Info, make sure “Locked” is deselected, and then check the Sharing & Permissions section. When you are sure the items are unlocked and not designated as Read Only or No Access, try again.

Try and use the Command line to trash this particular folder ~ WARNING !!!!!!Be extra careful with the files you are deleting using this method. You are deleting the files using a “Super User” command. Deletion of files and folders using this method cannot be undone.

Follow these instructions to the letter . . . . .

In an open Finder window, click "Application," select"Utilities," choose "Terminal" and double-click the "Terminal" application to launch it.

Type "sudo rm –f " (with a space after the f and not including the quotes) to delete a file.
Type “sudo rm –rf ” to delete a folder.

Drag and drop the files/folders you wish to delete onto the open Terminal window. The files you drop on the Terminal window will be deleted. You can drag and drop multiple files and folders onto the Terminal window.

1) When I get info it show I have read only which is odd since I have a special folder I use that is read and write privileges.
2) I have used the Command to delete but it does not work. I don't know if it makes a difference, but the item is on our Server and not directly on my Mac.
3) As for the "Terminal" method...what do I do after I drag file folder or files into the terminal window. Reboot?

Thanks for your responses
