New OS x update errors..(some help needed)

I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with their iChat AV after installing the new OS x update?

When it was finished downloading it said Sorry could not install. So, I reopened the software update and there are no new updest to be installed, so obv. it installed. I reset my computer and now iChat basically re-started itself and wants me to enter all my information again. After I go through all the set-up steps it just freezes. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

repair permissions,...download the 10.4.4 combo update from apple download site and install that,....repair permissions after reboot from 10.4.4 update.
