Okay, I keep running into an overheating issue and every time it happens I check the utility "activity monitor" and I see where the problem comes from.

I am running OS 10.6.8 and it is currently >>mDNSResponder<< that is consuming copious amounts of CPU power causing the heating problem. Prior to this it was web server that was consuming lots of power causing the overheating, but I seem to have made this go away.

What is it that could be pulling up the >>mDNSResponder<< to consumer CPU function and overheat the machine.

Thanks i advance for any clues.
