Oh God, where to start... Let' just say I have a showroom ;)
I am trying to copy an outlook.pst file from a PC hard drive with a USB adapter but my Mac is not having it. I have that NTFS-3G plugin installed, but it tells me.

"The operation cannot be completed because the item outlook.pst is in use"

Also, I can copy virtually any other file.

Copying files from an NTFS partition doesn't requires NTFS-3G - read support is built in and enabled by default.

That error occurs when the files is in use. In other words, an application is either reading or writing to the file. If you have something open that would be using it (such as Outlook), close it and try again.

It's not that. I have restarted the computer and even tried in Safe Mode but still nothing.

Is Outlook open? You can't do anything with a .pst if Outlook is open - at least not one that is being referenced by Outlook. Bring up Activity monitor and make sure there are no processes related to Outlook running.
