Hey guys,

I've dug around trying to find an answer to this, but haven't found anything yet. Is there a way to prevent the finder from opening up after connecting to a server (via to "go" menu)?

Basically, I have a server that I connect to automatically when I log in, but the finder always pops up when I do so, regardless of whether "hide" is check in "login items."

Thanks!

I used to use an app called Bonjour Mounter for that express purpose.

Closer than you think.

If running 10.5 or 10.6, Automator will also suit your purpose.

Save an automator application containing the "Get Specified Servers" followed by "Connect to Servers".

Enter the server paths in the first section and be sure to save credentials in the keychain.

Add the saved application to the login items.
