Hi everyone,

I've tried several different USB sticks and none of them mount to my desktop on my Mac Pro.
When I check Disk Utility I can access and open my USB data from there no problem and I have often repaired Disk Permissions to no avail. It says my USB is mounted in "Volumes". Great..... How do I get my USB to mount on my desktop and NOT Volumes.

Thanks in advance.

Your Mac's Specs

How are those USB drives formatted? For general use they should be either FAT16 or FAT32, or HFS (for Mac-only).

Don't use HFS+ (journaled) since (and I'm guessing here) the MacOS may 'think' it's a bootable volume - which may be why the devices are mounting as "volumes".
