I am considering upgrading to 10.6, and I was wondering if there are any performance improvements that allow applications (games in particular) to run smoother/faster? I have been using Boot Camp to game because all the games I've tested run much better under Windows than OS 10.5. Obviously some games aren't supported on Macs, but I am curious about switching back to play the games that are, if 10.6 offers any improvements.

No change with regard to gaming. You still need to run Windows natively in order to get the most out of graphic intensive games. However, Snow Leopard includes a newer version (with updated drivers) of Boot Camp. (3.0) And for the price, $29.95, it's certainly a worthwhile upgrade even if you're like me and don't have Windows games.

Regards.

Would updating bootcamp erase all the data on my current windows bootcamp partition?
