But I understand that you have to open the FLAC file with Fluke and it will convert it to AAC and import it into iTunes, yes? It won't allow me to play FLAC natively, or am I wrong?
To be blunt, you will not be able to play FLAC files naively. All Multi-Media on the Mac rely on Quicktime and as long as Quicktime doesn't support FLAC, the best you can *** for is an importation tool or a converter. WMV and some AVI files have the same issue and require converters to make them playable by Quicktime.
Yes, I have CogX and VLC, but I want to be able to play FLAC in Quicktime and Quick View (You know, when you hit SPACE on a file). Fluke seems to work, but it often makes QuickTime crash (Unexpectedly Quit).
