PowerMac G4 Version 10.3.9.

The machine appears to shutdown normally, but then immediately reboots. I have read and attempted the keyboard solutions to reset the NVRAM, but the machine ignores them, and boots right up.

Any suggestions?

Way... way too many specs to list.
Just out of curiosity does this happen if you open a terminal window and issue..

sudo shutdown -h now

this tells the system to shutdown and halt.. immediately

I don't think that applies. I don't have a MacBook. It's a desktop G4.

As for the previous--what's a terminal window?

OK, I found out what a terminal window was, and tried that command. The same thing happened -- immediate reboot.
