I am trying to create a workbook using Mac 2008 Excel. I want to use a VLOOKUP function and I'm not real sure how to do it. Currently I have workbook where in Cell E4 I have a formula =RANDBETWEEN(10,50)
so every time I refresh the excel workbook the number that displays will be 29 and then if I refresh the sheet again it will show another arbitrary number such as 34 or 49. This part is working exactly how I designed. However, I would like to somehow use VLOOUP with this with corresponding table. So that way instead of the cell E4 showing the number 29 it will show text from a VLOOKUP Table that would say something like "2 points by A10 or 3 points by A24. Let me know if you can lead me in the right direction as I can post a screenshot of the excel sheet I have designed so far. Thanks, Rich H

For VLOOKUP to work, you need a data set with at least 2 columns. The first column will be numbers between 10 and 50 (inclusive) and the second is what is returned. I'm not sure what "2 points by A10" and others mean. Please provide screenshots so that we can help further.
