I have a problem with my Email and I'm not sure what has happened. It is not working correctly it looks different and the mail does come through but there is a delay between sending and receiving. I use Carbon Cloner and Time Machine on a regular basis. Is it possible to use one of them to restore to my previous settings to cure the problem?

i am experiencing non-acceptance of my new icloud email with mail on my macbook air 2010 running 10.8.5 were the account will not go online in that app. everything checks out and is spelled okay.
The iphone is receiving a code and have entered that in the app, but to no avail.

I would like to use that address for sending files to my Dell XPS via outlook which works perfectly on the macbook air.

Some of that sounds more like an issue with your service provider. Please describe how it looks different. Are you using Mail or something else? Have you updated your OS recently? Installed any other apps?

Hello - first, I would suggest providing us some more information: 1) What Mac model computer do you own (just use the 'Apple' in the left upper corner > About This Mac); 2) What macOS version is installed (current is Catalina, 10.15.2); 3) Did this problem occur after an update/upgrade(s) to the machine; and 4) Has your ISP, modem/router, etc. changed? Second, I'm assuming that you 'Force Quit' the Mail App and rebooted your computer - if so, any help? Dave

iMac 21.5 inch late 2015 8GB. High Sierra version 10.13.6. I have not updated or upgraded anything for months (I am to scared to update to Catalina as a lot of my software is not compatible). I have not changed my ISP or modem/router. I have not "force quit" the Mail App although I have rebooted computer and Modem/router by shutting every thing down and then turned of at the mains there was no difference after reboot. Thanks for moving the thread wasn't sure where to put it.

With Mail open, guide your Mouse Cursor to the "empty space" at the bottom - don't left or right click, just hover there. As you move the cursor up & down in that space you should see a plus sign within a circle with the word "show" adjacent to it. If you see that, left click on the plus and what was there before should appear.

For the mailbox column, look at the top bar and View. I'm on a newer version, but there is a Hide/Show Mailbox List option there in my version. That does what it says, makes the sidebar list of mailboxes appear and disappear.

As i stated earlier this all started when setting up a new android phone. It uses google to transfer phone book ect to the new phone. i have just found a message on my iphone (macOS was granted access to your google Account) I wonder if that caused all my problems.

Hi Allchange - well, looking back on your posts, I see no indication of the statement in bold above having been mentioned - might have helped us posters? And not completely sure how you were 'setting up' the new phone, but please let us know whether the access grant helped - just curious, thanks - Dave :)
