Trying to capture QR codes using application QR Journal 2.0 or using Web QR Internal Camera will not scan QR code when holding QR code in front of camera on iMac. QR code shows in app windows so the camera sees it but will not complete scan.

I know QR code is good because I can take picture of the QR and import into either of the above and it launches web sites.

Is there something wrong with FaceTime HD camera? It works in Photo Booth.

The built-in camera generates a mirror image of what it sees - maybe that's the problem? The makers of Web QR are likely to have the answer.

Clever logic and clever thinking!!!

But why bother using FaceTime in the first place considering it's used for a completely different purpose, and it seems the problem was already solved by using Photo Booth.app and I imagine that Image Capture.app would probably work as well.
