And if she doesn't want to do the other Terminal commands to get rid of the red upgrade tabs in Sofware Update, just remove it from the Dock so it isn't so "in one's face".

Just for clarity, run the verification = IE: Just do the verification as SuperDuper was suggesting.- Patrick ======
so should I or should I not run super duper now that I've done Mojave upgrade...and choose verification? I would then have clone of Sierra and Mojave. I presume they cannot be done on same EXD even tho both are clones of two different OS.
OR maybe I need not be concerned at this point.

I installed FF and Waterfox browsers to try and managed to get bookmarks from Safari to them. I would like to know that if I use Safari and create new bookmarks, will they automatically change in FF and Waterfox? ill probably continue with Safari anyway as I am so familiar with it. just will not use GOOGLE search engine.

I think you're well past that stage, or at least until the next time it possibly pokes its head up.

I think it's just SuperDupers method of suggesting one do a verification of the file folder structure before a backup or clone. Disk Utility can do a similar verification and or repair (first aid fix) that is often recommended before doing a backup or clone.

But then again, I don't use SuperDuper anymore.

No, you will need to update the other browsers with your new bookmarks. Apple doesn’t like apps to share data, especially their own apps.

oh now it did. see error message.
I think tried to login via Firefox and got on...but screen popped up about security so I unchecked that. maybe that is my issue.
been playing with settings and think I may have checked something I should not have.
what a mess.

I just cannot be in a place where I cannot connect with Mac-forum!!
so for now seem to be okay.

my question is about formatting external drives. I have a small usb which I upload movies to and insert into my tv to watch. I deleted movies and wanted to add more. used disk utility to erase using xfat format. I have done this in past and all went well.
it was rejected with a red exclamation mark and ejected drive.
so I did a first aid and that went well...green checkmark
re did the process and chose apfs and same result same rejection and eject of drive.

how can I make this work again??

now cannot even get this drive recognized to do anything. keeps getting ejected.
guess ill have to scrap it...and give drive away...that is if anyone else can use it!

but now concerned as I obviously so not understand the formatting of drives using Mojave!!!
