Since last update I don’t get any new mail notification. Have checked settings all seem okay.
Not this site any other what is missing is the banners that pop up top right on screen.
Any one else had this problem.?
Thanks

Tomos, you posted this in Shweb's Lounge, which is probably not the best place. Maybe a Mod will move it? But before that can happen, what update to what device? Can you explain this a bit better:

No problem, Tomos, I'm sure someone will move it for you. In the meantime, System Preferences/Notifications is where you control what can and cannot create a notification. I tend to now want a lot bothering me, but you can select what you want.

Each browser has a setting for Notifications, for instance: I use Safari Version 13.0.3 (15608.3.10.1.4) for Catalina and in Preferences, under Websites, there is a setting for Notifications. If you are getting the Notifications, it could be through the browser, if you have allowed them from your email provider. I'm not familiar with the other browsers, but they all have similar settings.

Hi Thanks for that. I use google mail through the MacBook mail appIts been okay but over the past few days its been on and off.
Didn't get notification for your reply but yes the site has been having issues with the mail.
Can I use the google mail on MacBook without using the mail app.
Thanks very much

You can use the webmail version of Google Mail through any browser. However, did you check that Mail has authorization to issue a notification as described in post #4?
